Lawyers Raúl Zaffaroni and Gustavo Ferreyra will integrate the team that will assume the legal role of defense and advice for Morales to confront the de facto government attacks that were imposed after the coup d'etat against the leader of the Movement to Socialism, on November 10th.

The legal team states that the current government has left the world legal system by violating the elementary norms of international law by harassing embassies.

Zaffaroni clarified that so far they will not handle any extradition request against the Bolivian president and that they only know of arrest warrants issued by prosecutors for the crime of sedition.

Our legal defense, which Dr. Baltasar Garzón is heading is joined by doctors Raúl Zaffaroni and Gustavo Ferreyra, great legal professionals. For me it is an honor to have these three personalities. We will always be on the side of truth and justice.

During the presentation, Morales said the accusations of sedition came about after denouncing the coup and abuses of the de facto government, "the one who protests against the de facto government is seditious."
