The United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) warned on Friday about the situation of at least 625,000 children in the Gaza Strip, who cannot access the rights to education because of Israel’s aggression.

He also argued that “the play and learning activities provided by Unrwa teams are essential to prepare children to return to school and regain their right to education”.
“More than 625,000 children in Gaza have been out of school for more than eight months; 300,000 of them were Unrwa students before the war,” the agency said.
In this regard, the Palestinian Ministry of Education was forced to halt the school year on 6 November due to the seriousness of the attacks by Israel, and indicated that there are 6,400 students and more than 100 academics killed since the beginning of the aggression.
In addition, the Hamas government’s press office in the Gaza Strip warned that schools are Israel’s military target and detailed that, in more than 256 days of attacks, At least 110 schools are totally destroyed and more than 300 are partially damaged.
Unrwa reported that airstrikes have affected 69 percent of schools, which were used as homes for displaced Gazans.
