On elections day, Venezuelans will support the Bolivarian, Socialist, and Christian political project, he said.

On Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro held a campaign event in the town of El Vigia, in the state of Merida, where he expressed confidence in his victory in the presidential elections on July 28.

“We are going to win in Merida and throughout Venezuela because a wave of national dignity has risen to stop fascism and the extreme right that threatens our country’s peace,” he said.

During the meeting with his supporters, Maduro announced his commitment to install fifty megawatts of solar energy in El Vigia within eight months.

“The work has already begun. Twenty buildings in the Bubuqui neighborhood are already being powered by solar energy,” said the Great Patriotic Pole’s candidate.

The Venezuelan president also reviewed the progress in public works, such as the improvement of roads in the Alberto Adrián municipality, the construction of water wells, the construction of a bridge connecting the states of Merida and Tachira, and the improvement of the Los Andes University Hospital.

“We are love, life, and family. The greatest thing Venezuela has is the homeland, which is built with love and not with violence,” Maduro said, implicitly criticizing the violent attitudes of the far-right opposition.

In this same vein, he emphasized that the people’s power will confront the Venezuelan oligarchy on July 28, a date on which Venezuelans will strongly support the Bolivarian, Socialist, and Christian political project to ensure the construction of a more prosperous future for the nation.
