On Wednesday, January 29, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) experienced a moment of deep sadness following the tragic crash of a Cessna Citation 550 aircraft, registration YV3561, which crashed into the ground in the El Volcán sector between the municipalities of Baruta and El Hatillo in the state of Miranda.

The aircraft, assigned to the Ministry of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice, and Peace, left a fatal mark: the death of three valuable members of the military institution.

The statement issued by the Ministry of People’s Power for Defence reveals that the aircraft was piloted by Lieutenant Colonel Henner Alejandro Perozo Espinel, who was accompanied in the cabin by First Lieutenant José Alejandro Almazán Barragán and Second Sergeant Major Eduardo Rodríguez, Chief of Machinery.
