The leader of Ansarullah (Houthi movement) in Yemen, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, has reaffirmed the movement’s firm and principled stance in support of the Lebanese Resistance (Hezbollah) and its people amid escalating Israeli attacks, following the expiration of the ceasefire agreement in November.

During a conference on Ramadan last Sunday, Al-Houthi stated, “We have been monitoring the Israeli attacks in various areas of Lebanon. These attacks are unjustified.”

Al-Houthi emphasized that Yemen “will not stand idly by while Zionist attacks against Lebanon continue.” In this context, he warned that “in any circumstance that requires us to intervene alongside our brothers in Hezbollah and the Lebanese people, we are prepared to do so.”

These statements come after the Israeli occupation army launched a wave of airstrikes against southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley, continuously violating the ceasefire. According to reports from Al Mayadeen, 32 airstrikes were recorded in southern regions such as Tyre, Marjayoun, and Nabatieh. An attack on Tullin resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to several others, while another strike on Kfar Kila left two more injured. The Israeli army also bombed archaeological sites in Tyre.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah, aligned with the Houthis, has carried out numerous retaliatory attacks, including strikes against Israel-linked targets in the Red Sea as a show of solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements.
