The Committee to Protect Journalists (CIJ) demanded that Israel explain the killing of the correspondents in the west of Gaza City.

Two media professionals from the Qatari Media Network Al-Jazeera were killed in the Gaza Strip during an Israeli bombing, the news outlet reported.

«The correspondent Ismail al Ghoul and cameraman Rami al Refee were killed in Gaza City as a result of an explosion aimed at them», reported Al Jazeera.

The details of the circumstances surrounding the death are not yet known. However, Al-Jazeera condemn the asesination of the two corresponsals, and calls for legal sactions against the Sionist Regime.

According to the media office of the Gaza government, the new deaths raised the number of Palestinian journalists killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza to 165 since 7 October 2023.

Following the start of the offensive by Tel Aviv, 39,400 civilians have been killed, mostly women and children, while 90,996 have been injured.

After 10 months of the start of the Israeli war, vast swathes of Gaza remain in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, drinking water and medicines.
