At Least 53 People Killed in Israeli Bombing in Southern and Eastern Lebanon

At least 53 people were killed in Sunday’s Israeli air strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, 32 of them in the southern village of Ain al-Delb, in a new day of large-scale airstrikes.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that 32 people were killed and more than 50 injured in the attack in Ain al-Delb, a town located a few kilometers west of the coastal city of Sidon.
In the region thousand of people have been forced to leave their homes to seek refuge in safer areas due to the Israeli attacks which have claimed more than a thousand lives in the last few weeks.
The Health officials also informed 21 died and were 47 wounded as the initial death toll of the Zionist aggression on Baalbek-Hermel, one of the eight provinces of Lebanon, located in the north-east of the country.
In addition, Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health said in a statement the the Israeli raids on Bint Jbeil district today left ten dead people as other 3 wounded.
On Saturday, at least 33 people were killed in various attacks, while in just over a week more than 1,000 people have been killed and 6,000 injured by these bombings, according to the Lebanese government.
Around one million people have fled their homes in recent days in Lebanon due to the campaign of attacks, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Sunday.
