‘The U.S. bases in Syria will be trampled under the feet of Syrian youth,’ Iran’s Supreme Leader stated.
On Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, praised General Qasem Soleimani’s role in shaping the “Axis of Resistance” against the Zionist state.

“The martyr Soleimani’s consistent strategy was to revive the resistance front, meaning utilizing the capabilities and youth of each country, and he executed this strategy in the best way in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon,” Khamenei said during a speech to Soleimani’s family.
Khamenei also highlighted Soleimani’s role in the fight against the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq in 2015 and issued an indirect warning to Israel. Soleimani was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad on January 3, 2020.
“The victory of the front of truth is inevitable, and those who dominate today should know that one day they will be trampled under the feet of the faithful,” the Iranian leader said and referred to the current situation in Syria.
“The U.S. bases in Syria will be trampled under the feet of Syrian youth,” Khamenei said, stressing that imperialist and Zionist forces will one day be defeated by “the power of the zealous Syrian youth.”
“Youth willing to give their lives are the main source of a nation’s strength. They should not be removed from the sphere of action. When they are removed, what happened in some countries occurs. Chaos arises, and foreign powers seize territory, as seen in Syria,” he added.
Soleimani was the commander of the Quds Force, a special operations force that is part of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He led the “Axis of Resistance,” which includes Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and various Iraqi militias.
On the fifth anniversary of his death, Iran has organized ceremonies in the city of Kerman, where his grave is located. Another event is planned tomorrow at the Imam Khomeini Mosque in Tehran, which will be attended by thousands of people, including political and military leaders.
Last year, during the anniversary of Soleimani’s death, a double suicide bombing claimed by ISIS occurred near his grave, resulting in over 100 deaths.
