Begins Investigation of the Black Boxes of Plane Crash in Brazil

The preliminary report of the investigation will be submitted in 30 days
The Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) in Brazil reported today that it managed to extract and recover the contents of two black boxes removed from the plane that crashed in the state of Sao Paulo.

«The data were obtained, validated, and now we wait for the line of research of our researchers, who are still here with me (in Sao Paulo)», revealed Brigadier Marcelo Moreno, head of Cenipa.
He said that they will return to Brasilia to work on the transformation of this huge number of statistics useful information for society.
The plane crash occurred on Friday and caused the death of 62 people (58 passengers and four crew members). Now, in this capital city, experts will be responsible for analyzing the contents of the black boxes.
According to Moreno, the two engines of the aircraft will be analyzed in Sao Paulo to verify if they were powered at the time of the accident.
He specified that the preliminary report of the investigation will be submitted in 30 days.
Three representatives of the Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation Civile (BEA) arrived at the site of the accident on Sunday.
The BEA was activated by the Brazilian authorities and must cooperate in the investigations once the crashed aircraft, model ATR-72, was manufactured in France.
Moreno also waits in the town of Vinhedo, state of Paraná, from where the plane departed, for representatives of the Transportation Safety Council of Canada (TSB), nation where the engines were manufactured.
BEA and TSB are analogous to Cenipa. Experts from the three countries must work together in the investigation which should point to the causes of the accident.
