 His personal doctor, Roberto Kalil, confirmed that the 79-year-old president still requires follow-up examinations before returning to Brasília.

Lula underwent surgery on two occasions: the first to drain a hematoma and the second as a preventive measure. The president’s rapid recovery has surprised his medical team, who stated that his condition is better than expected.

During a brief press appearance, Lula thanked the medical staff and admitted that he felt scared when he learned about the seriousness of his situation. “I was scared by the volume of liquid in my head,” said the president, who also expressed his desire to resume his government activities. However, doctors have recommended a relative rest period of 60 days and restricted any intense physical activity.
