Tonight, high-ranking Israeli sources confirmed that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip has come to an end. The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army, along with the Shin Bet spokesperson, announced that armed forces are launching a large-scale offensive against targets of the Hamas terrorist group across the region.

“The army and Shin Bet are attacking targets throughout the Gaza Strip on a large scale,” the spokesperson stated, emphasizing that bombings are being carried out in the north, center, and south of Gaza.

This offensive follows nearly two months of ceasefire in a conflict that has now lasted 17 months, during which dozens of hostages were exchanged for approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the decision to resume attacks was due to Hamas’ alleged rejection of all mediation proposals to move toward a new ceasefire.

The situation in the region remains extremely tense, with fears that this escalation of violence could lead to a significant increase in civilian casualties and further deterioration of humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

Initial reports indicate that the bombings have already caused extensive damage to infrastructure and homes, sparking panic among the civilian population.
