In a meeting on Wednesday, the BRICS nations condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Lebanese territory and humanitarian centers in Gaza, urging an immediate cessation of hostilities in both areas.
The declaration emphasized the “urgent need for a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.” It called for the “immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and detainees from both sides who are being held illegally,” as well as the “unimpeded, sustained, and large-scale flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza,” alongside an end to all aggressive actions.
