In a statement, the election witnesses, who were present during the election day last July, praised the investigative process conducted by the Supreme Court, in which they reviewed all the evidence with a neutral and fair character.

“The court’s decision followed a comprehensive review of evidence submitted by political parties and candidates in the election, as well as a thorough examination of the safety, security and protection of votes by the CNE,” the statement said.

They also condemned the position of the candidate of the extreme right, Edmundo Gonzales Urrutia, who did not comply with the judicial process carried out by the Court and called on the country’s military forces to betray the Bolivarian state and rebel.

The Caribbean representatives, in their letter, described the election day as peaceful and assured that they visited several polling stations.

However, they expressed their concern about the activities of the fascist opposition stating, “we were very concerned that Opposition Leader Maria Corina Machado and her stand-in presidential candidate, Edmundo Gonzales Urrutia, had indicated – long before the elections — they would illegally conduct their own exit polls, announce their own results and NOT ACCEPT the CNE’s official results”.

“We were also alarmed by public exposure by Venezuela’s security forces of a political plot to create coordinated electricity problems across eight Venezuelan states, at prescribed times, to sabotage the electronic transmission of results on July 28,” said the Caribbean observers.

They also drew attention to the media campaign launched against Venezuela after the CNE gave the preliminary election results, especially the right-wing American media.

According to election witnesses, this was made worse by the opposition representatives, Gozales Urrutia and Machado, who denied the results given by the National Electoral Council.

In their statement, the representatives concluded that: “We were convinced, by their pace and volume, that the negative online reports by Western media houses were part of a coordinated mission to cast doubt on the election process and the official results”.

“We were further convinced that Venezuela was a victim of cyber warfare (involving Bloomberg, Elon Musk’s ‘X’, BBC, CNN, CBC, CBS, Guardian, etc.) to hopefully create justification for military intervention in Venezuela, reminiscent of Grenada and Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya”, quote the statement.

Finally, the observers called for a “review” of the positions taken by the Western media and also that Washington should review its action to declare as “President” of Venezuela the loser in the elections
