To address this emergency, a centralized command post has been established, and significant resources have been deployed, including seven technicians, seven firefighting brigades, four water tankers, two skidder vehicles for tree removal, one water-dropping plane, and three helicopters, along with support from local firefighters.
The situation is critical, and evacuations are being assessed in communities such as Los Molles, Quilpue, and Villa Alemana. The red alert allows authorities to identify areas with a higher risk of combustion and spread of forest fires, taking into account factors such as temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed.
Authorities urge the population to stay informed and follow evacuation instructions to ensure their safety during this environmental emergency.
