Previously, the U.S. Treasury Department imposed sanctions against Integrity Technology for an alleged attack.
On Monday, Guo Jiakun, the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reiterated that his country firmly opposes all forms of cyberattacks and has taken strong measures against such practices.

He urged the United States to stop using cybersecurity issues as a means to discredit China. Guo also stated that China will take all necessary measures to protect its legitimate rights and interests.
This statement came in response to sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department on the Chinese cybersecurity company Integrity Technology, which Washington has accused—without evidence—of involvement in hacking incidents targeting Americans. For its part, Integrity Technology has also rejected the accusations and U.S. sanctions, labeling them as unilateral and baseless.
Guo emphasized that the actions of the United States not only harm bilateral relations but also undermine international cooperation on cybersecurity. China has called on the United States to adopt a more constructive approach and work together to address global challenges in cyberspace.
The sanctions against the Chinese cybersecurity giant follow an alleged attack on the U.S. Treasury Department, which claims that attackers accessed employee workstations and non-classified documents.
Guo Jiakun, the newly appointed spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was born in 1980 and is a member of the Mongolian ethnic group.
Since 1983, the ministry has appointed 35 spokespersons, each dedicated to introducing and explaining the concepts, principles, and policies of China’s diplomacy. Their efforts have consistently focused on safeguarding national sovereignty and fostering friendly cooperation between China and other countries.
