The former director has been confirmed on Thursday to lead Britain’s external affairs management

The former director has been confirmed on Thursday to lead Britain’s external affairs management, a new role she will play under the wave of criticism from pro-Gaza activists in the European country.

Shafik, of Egyptian descent and a British naturalized citizen, announced his resignation from Columbia while not revealing his new position in the UK’s Foreign Affairs.

I am pleased and grateful that this gives me the opportunity to return to work in fighting global poverty and promoting sustainable development, areas that interest me for a lifetime,” he said in his resignation statement.

The former director and Columbia were one of the first university authorities to call the police during the sit-in for Gaza at the Alma Mater, which led to a large revolt, some violent, between the forces of law and order and the Pro-Palestine.

The criticism of students who were critical of the genocide was not long in coming, but as the demonstrations for the Palestinian people continued, their management became more futile and their attempts to undermine the demonstrations became fruitless.

Despite her actions against the demonstrations, she was also criticized by the most pro-Israel wings, who accused her of “lack of character” and anti-Semitism, which made her resignation her only way out.
