Venezuela’s president, Nicolas Maduro, denounced terrorist plans that threaten the country’s security, recently revealed in the state of Zulia.

During his speech on the program “Con Maduro +”, the president accused sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right of being behind a conspiracy called “No to Christmas,” which seeks to destabilize the government.

President Maduro described this conspiracy as a “bloody conspiracy” orchestrated by corrupt mafias from Zulia, with the involvement of opposition leader María Corina Machado.

According to the president, Machado has been in Colombia for several weeks, where she reportedly met with drug traffickers and paramilitary figures linked to former Colombian presidents such as Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe Vélez.

It was noted that Machado met on at least two occasions with José Enrique Rincón, a well-known leader of the economic mafias in Zulia, who is currently a fugitive.

President Maduro stressed that these meetings were related to violent plans, including assassinations and attacks on gas and oil facilities. “They were in a state of delirium full of violence, hatred, and revenge,” he said.

The president also emphasized that investigations into these plans are ongoing and alerted the populations of Zulia and Falcón to the threat.

“The people are the protagonists of this battle,” Maduro emphasized, while Diosdado Cabello, minister of interior and justice, added that the mercenaries involved had been detected entering the country through Aragua.

The situation has led the government to intensify its efforts to dismantle these networks before they can carry out their destructive plans.
