Their voluntary repatriation was made possible through the “Return to the Homeland” program, which was created by President Nicolas Maduro to facilitate the safe return of his fellow citizens.

“This flight carries 151 children, 60 men, and 102 women, 16 of whom are pregnant, back to their homeland,” Citizen Security Minister Diosdado Cabello said, adding that the group of repatriated migrants included six unaccompanied minors.

“We have contacted their families here and will hand them over after reviewing their situation. The “Return to the Homeland” plan is a public policy that allows Venezuelans to return to our country with the guarantees of a state that assists them and reviews each case individually,” Cabello stated.

So far, the Maduro administration has managed to transport 1,610 Venezuelan men and women from the United States, local outlet Con el Mazo Dando reported.
