In a letter, Diaz-Canel and Army General Raul Castro Ruz celebrated the anniversary and sent their best wishes to the Nicaraguan republic.

“The long struggle of this fraternal people began 203 years ago, when it was consecrated by the Sandinista Revolution,” he quotes from the letter sent to President Daniel Ortega by his Cuban counterpart.

“Our solidarity and support to you, with the conviction of continuing to advance for Latin American unity,” the letter concludes.
