In a remarkable collective effort, Cuba has managed to fully restore its National Electroenergetic System (SEN), a significant milestone that comes after a series of technical and operational challenges.
At 11:34 PM on Wednesday evening, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, announced through his X account that all units in the start-up process had entered the system, with the exception of Unit 1 at Felton, which already had its boiler on and was expected to synchronize in the next few hours.
This advance comes after a complicated morning in which a new disconnection of the SEN was recorded due to an automatic firing at the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric plant, located in Matanzas.
