Cuba Prepares to Receive Its Olympic Athletes From Paris

Cuba states that the work was carried out in a differentiated manner at the level of sports and strategic figures, in accordance with the resources available.
The Cuban people will receive on Monday in the capital of the country the Sports Delegation that competed at the Paris 2024 Games, headed by the five-time Olympic champion Mijaín López.

The arrival of the athletes is scheduled for 19H40 local time. These will make a tour of some of the main roads in the capital until you reach the square “La Piragua” on the Malecon Habanero, where it will be the official headquarters of the welcome.
“Cuba is looking forward with pride and joy to its delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympics. They return to their homeland with the medal of dignity in their breasts. We are among the best in Latin America”, wrote the Cuban president on the social network X.
In a statement, the delegation that represented Cuba at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris expressed its satisfaction of having competed with dignity and adherence to the values of sport of the Greater Antilles, The desired results were not always achieved.
He also expressed appreciation for the many expressions of support received from the people and from the main leaders of the Revolution, Starting with the message of congratulations issued by Army General Raúl Castro Ruz on the coronation of Flag Bearer Mijaín López, and the telephone conversations held by the First Secretary of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, with the fighter himself and other protagonists.
In addition, many other signs of support from other countries for the battle, taken by 61 athletes from 16 sports.

Finally, the statement highlights, in terms of results, “the great Mijaín, a classic style fighter who allowed us to share a unique moment with his arrival at five titles on these stages”.
