Today, the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, condemned the ongoing Israeli bombings in Gaza, which have resulted in the deaths of numerous Palestinians and have blocked the entry of humanitarian aid during the holy month of Ramadan.

Through his official account on X, Rodríguez emphasized that these attacks not only jeopardize the ceasefire in the region but are also supported by the U.S. government, which has pledged $4 billion in new weapons to Israel.

The situation in Gaza has become increasingly critical. According to reports from local health authorities, recent Israeli attacks have resulted in a tragic toll of 116 Palestinians killed and 490 injured during a period of apparent truce.

Tensions have escalated following the end of this truce at midnight on Saturday, with Israel closing all border crossings that allow humanitarian aid into the enclave.

United Nations estimates are alarming; the reconstruction of Gaza is projected to cost over $53 billion due to the devastating damage caused by the conflict.

Since the hostilities began in October 2023, more than 48,000 people have lost their lives in Gaza, underscoring the scale of the humanitarian crisis facing the region.

The Cuban minister’s condemnation adds to an international chorus calling for a peaceful and urgent resolution to a conflict that has claimed thousands of lives and left millions in desperate conditions.
