The number of deaths from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the onset of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah on October 8, 2023, has reached 2,412, while the number of injured has climbed to 11,285, according to a report released today by Lebanon’s Council of Ministers.
Additionally, the report indicates that Israeli airstrikes on October 16 resulted in 45 deaths and 179 injuries across various regions in Lebanon.
In the past 24 hours alone, 96 airstrikes and bombings were recorded in different areas of Lebanon, bringing the total number of attacks since the beginning of the Israeli “aggression” to 10,246.
The report also highlights that approximately one-third of the Lebanese population has been displaced, raising concerns about the potential spread of epidemics among these individuals.
To address this crisis, the National Committee for the Coordination of Crisis Response Operations is collaborating with relevant ministries to secure additional shelters in several governorates for displaced persons.
