In Kathmandu, the epicenter of rainfall, water levels have decreased, improving the situation in the capital.
The number of victims of record rains that caused floods and landslides in Nepal rose to 236, while rescue teams are searching for 30 missing and the Himalayan country declares three days of mourning for one of its worst floods.

The disaster, which began with heavy rains last Thursday, has caused the destruction of areas and the flight of thousands of people. The Armed Forces’ General Superintendent and Spokesman, Kumar Neupane, said that as of noon on Tuesday, 29 people were still missing and at least 143 people were injured.
More than 4,500 people have been rescued over the course of four days of continuous search and rescue operations.
Neupane reported that heavy rainfall caused serious damage to 1,769 homes and 55 bridges in the Bagmati and Koshi provinces, which are close to Tibet.
Health experts have anticipated the effects of these events, increasing the danger of water and air-borne diseases.
«With most water sources contaminated by rain and floods, cases of water-borne and air-borne diseases have started to grow», explained the doctor specializing in tropical diseases and infections, Sher Bahadur Pun.
«The problems could get worse if you don’t take the situation seriously», he warned.
