At least 29 people have lost their lives and 6 have been injured in the regions of Farah and Kandahar, in western and southwestern Afghanistan, respectively, due to devastating floods.
The Afghan television network Ariana reported that the most severe incident occurred in the Qala-e-Kah district, where 21 people died and 6 others were injured, according to Mohammad Israel, head of disaster management in Farah.
In Kandahar, authorities have confirmed that at least 11 people were killed or injured in various areas affected by the floods. This natural disaster adds to a series of tragedies that have struck Afghanistan, a country frequently faced with disasters such as landslides and floods.
