ARGENTINA: Argentine President Javier Milei, an ultraliberal, congratulated Trump on his success in the election, adding that “he can count on Argentina to carry out his mission.”

In a message posted on X in English, Milei urged Trump to “Make America Great Again. You know you can count on Argentina to move forward with your mission. Success and blessings.”

BRAZIL: A strong ally of the U.S. Republican is former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who was highly expressive on X: “Thank you, my God” and cited a psalm from the Bible: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

In a longer message later, the former president highlighted that with Trump’s victory, “we are witnessing the resurgence of a true warrior. A man who, even after facing a brutal election process in 2020 and an unjustifiable legal persecution, has risen again, as few have done in history.”

HUNGARY: One of Trump’s main supporters in Europe is Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, an ultranationalist, who praised the American Republican’s electoral victory, stating that he has “great plans” with Trump. Orban was the only European Union leader who supported Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections. Both leaders, who express mutual admiration for each other, last met on July 11.

INDIA: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated his “friend” Donald Trump and said he hoped that India and the U.S. would work for “global welfare and to promote peace, stability, and prosperity.” Modi and Trump enjoyed a good relationship during their overlapping time as leaders of India and the U.S. in Trump’s first term from 2017 to 2021.

ISRAEL: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been leading the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza since October 2023, expressed his satisfaction at Trump’s victory in a message that hinted at a personal friendship:

“Dear Donald and Melania Trump. Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory! In true friendship, yours, Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu,” he posted on the social network X.

ITALY: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Trump on his victory in the presidential election and expressed her confidence that the “strategic bond” between the two countries, based on an “unbreakable alliance, shared values, and historic friendship,” will now be even stronger.

Meanwhile, her Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini was ecstatic over what he described as a “historic day” and summed up Trump’s ideology as: “Illegal immigration and tax cuts, defense of Christian roots and return to peace, protection of freedom of thought, and no to political trials.”

NETHERLANDS: In this European country, where a coalition of right-wing and far-right parties governs, Prime Minister Dick Schoof congratulated the Republican leader on Wednesday, extending a hand for “cooperation in shared interests” between the two countries.

Geert Wilders, leader of the radical right-wing PVV party—the coalition’s main partner—also sent a congratulatory message to Trump: “Congratulations, America. Never stop, always keep fighting!”

SPAIN: Santiago Abascal, leader of the far-right party Vox, congratulated Trump on his victory and emphasized the importance of the Hispanic vote in this “victory for the free world.” “It’s the time for patriots” and for “freedom,” said the leader of Spain’s third-largest parliamentary force.

Outside of politics, tech magnate Elon Musk also drew attention with his reaction. Musk, who has openly supported Trump during the campaign, expressed his excitement on his social media platform X. “The future will be fantastic,” reads one of the messages from the SpaceX owner, along with an image of a Starship rocket launching from a company tower.
