COVID-19 is still in the Dominican Republic! There are 49 new infections reported by the Ministry of Public Health during the last week, which places the number of cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic at 676,299.

The increase in the number of cases is due to the cyclical behaviour of the virus, which coincides with a high incidence of influenza A and B, Digepi head Ronald Skewes told Diario Libre.
