Egyptian and Tunisian Presidents Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Supporting Gaza

The presidents of Egypt and Tunisia have expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation in various areas, particularly economic and commercial, while exploring broader horizons for joint efforts on mutual interests.
Discussions between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Tunisian President Kais Saied continue to focus on consolidating the ceasefire agreement and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The encounter between the two leaders occurred via a phone call, during which they reaffirmed their complete and absolute rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from their lands and the eradication of their cause, as stated by the Egyptian presidential spokesperson, Mohamed Shennawi.
Additionally, the leaders emphasized the necessity of establishing a Palestinian state within the borders defined on June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, considering it a guarantee for achieving lasting peace in the region.
President Saied praised the Arab plan aimed at reconstructing the Palestinian enclave, developed by Egypt, and confirmed Tunisia’s support for this initiative, without the displacement of Palestinians.
The Egyptian spokesperson also mentioned that both leaders reiterated their commitment to the stability, unity, and sovereignty of Libya and Syria, as well as the security of their peoples against the risks of conflict and division.
Both presidents expressed their intent to strengthen cooperation in various areas, particularly economic and commercial, and explore broader horizons for joint efforts on mutual interests, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of their fraternal peoples.
