On Wednesday, a helicopter carrying Honduran President Xiomara Castro made an emergency landing in El Balín, Santa Cruz de Yojoa, due to low visibility caused by adverse weather conditions. Fortunately, the president is safe and unharmed.
TeleSUR correspondent in Honduras, Karim Duarte, reported that the aircraft was forced to descend due to the imminent risk posed by the poor visibility.
President Castro and her team were traveling from San Pedro Sula to the capital, Tegucigalpa, when they were compelled to find a safe location to land.
