Israeli occupation forces have intensified their military presence in the West Bank, establishing new bases and checkpoints that severely restrict Palestinian mobility, particularly in the cities of Jenin and Bethlehem. This escalation of violence has resulted in multiple assaults, leaving a tragic toll of numerous casualties.

In the Jenin refugee camp, Israeli forces have taken over a new home and transformed it into a military outpost, thereby consolidating their control over the area. Troops stormed the western part of the camp, turning it into a base for their military operations.

Additionally, a military checkpoint has been established at the entrance of the village of Al-Manshiya, south of Bethlehem, significantly hindering daily transit for Palestinians. Soldiers are inspecting vehicles and documentation, severely affecting connectivity between rural areas and the city of Bethlehem.

The Israeli offensive in Jenin has been devastating; in just thirteen days, nearly 100 homes have been demolished, with several others set ablaze. Airstrikes and ground incursions have displaced approximately 90 percent of the camp’s inhabitants.

Recent aerial bombardments have resulted in the deaths of several Palestinians, including an attack that left two dead in eastern Jenin. An Israeli drone also targeted a motorcycle in the same area, causing further fatalities.

The situation worsened with the shooting death of a 73-year-old man as he attempted to return home to retrieve personal belongings. So far, around 15,000 people have been displaced from the Jenin refugee camp and the Al-Hadaf neighborhood, seeking refuge in nearby localities.

Moreover, Israeli forces have caused a severe water crisis affecting hospitals and 35 percent of local residents due to deliberate destruction of water pipelines. The humanitarian situation is rapidly deteriorating as the total number of fatalities in Jenin rises to 24 since the onset of this military offensive.

The military attacks and increased territorial control by Israel not only create a constant atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among Palestinians but also fuel growing frustration over the lack of lasting solutions to a conflict that seems endless. The international community watches with concern as this crisis deepens day by day.
