“The number of injured transported to medical centers has reached 112,” reported the city’s emergency services, according to the Tasnim agency.

Local television stations broadcast images of a massive black cloud over the port, as well as scenes of panic in the vicinity. Port activities have been suspended so that security and rescue forces can quickly bring the situation under control.

The Shahid Rajaei Port suffered a cyberattack in 2020 that paralyzed its activities, an attack for which Iran blamed Israel.
