Local media reported that emergency services are looking for a possible fifth victim in the rubble of the building.

After locating three bodies in the early hours of Friday, rescuers found a room and continue the work to search for a neighbor who has not given news since the event.

The explosion on Thursday destroyed the top of the building and since then firefighters have been working through the rubble to look for possible victims.

The text reads,
Explosion in Hoboken is not just an accident. It is what happens (again) when political will is lacking to guarantee all citizens high-quality (social) housing and people then resort to poorly maintained properties on the private rental market.

In addition to the deaths, at least three were seriously injured and three others were slightly injured as a result of the explosion, the causes of which are still being investigated by the authorities, who consider that it was due to a gas leak, among other hypotheses.
