First Reactions on Trump’s Victory as President-Elect

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday “warmly” and invited him to work together on a transatlantic agenda that will benefit the EU and the US. US.

“I warmly congratulate Donald J. Trump. The EU and the U.S. are more than just allies. We are united by a true partnership among our peoples, uniting 800 million citizens.
