The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported this Sunday that four Palestinians, including an elderly woman, were killed as a result of gunfire by the Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip. This tragic incident occurred amid a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since January 19, designed to end violence in the region.

According to the official statement, three Palestinians were killed while returning to their homes near the Kuwait Roundabout in the eastern part of Gaza City. Health authorities confirmed that the bodies were taken to Al-Baptist Hospital.

Eyewitnesses stated that the deceased were attempting to assess the condition of their homes following the recent withdrawal of the Israeli Army from the Netzarim Corridor, an area that separates northern and southern Gaza.

Additionally, an elderly woman was reportedly shot and killed by Israeli troops in Al-Qarara, near Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Strip.

Since the beginning of the conflict, it is estimated that nearly 48,000 people have lost their lives, and Gaza has been devastated by the fighting.

Palestinian authorities have stated that these actions violate the ceasefire agreement and are demanding an investigation into the recent incidents, while the international community watches with growing alarm at the humanitarian situation in the region.
