Qatar and France join forces to sent humanitarian aid to Lebanon

A French military aircraft and another Qatari aircraft arrived in Beirut with medicines and first aid supplies.

France and Qatar sent 27 tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon on Tuesday 8 October for the treatment of wounded people and support for populations displaced due to the aggressions in recent weeks from Israel.

The French Ministry stated that a French military aircraft and another Qatari aircraft arrived in Beirut with medicines and first aid supplies.

This humanitarian aid is intended to support the clinical care of the wounded and displaced populations served by the Lebanese Red Cross, the Lebanese health services, and several NGOs, said the spokesman of the French Ministry.

France thanked the European Union for providing financial support in both a first airlift, carried out on 29 September and the current one. Also expressed appreciation to the Tulipe association for its support in the donation of medicines.

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that a fourth division is operating in southern Lebanon.

As a result of the intense Israeli bombing campaign in Lebanon over the past two weeks, more than 1.2 million people were forced to leave their homes.

In addition, according to the Emergency Operations Centre of the Ministry of Health, more than 2,080 deaths and 9,800 victims have been recorded for over a year, most in recent weeks.
