The Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, proposed strengthening tourism among the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) during the XXIV Summit of the Alliance, held in Venezuela.
This initiative aims to promote tourism in the Caribbean and facilitate cultural and economic exchange between the participating nations.
Browne emphasized that deepening the ties of integration is essential to address today’s economic challenges. In his speech, he stressed that tourism is a key sector for economic recovery, especially in a context where many ALBA countries depend on this activity.

The Prime Minister also reiterated his condemnation of the sanctions imposed by the United States on Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, stating that Antigua and Barbuda only recognizes Nicolas Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela.
