After more than ten months of escalation, the Zionist occupation has left almost 40,000 dead, over 90,000 wounded, 10,000 missing under rubble and 1.9 million displaced people surviving an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

On the 308th day of the Israeli offensive into the Gaza Strip, the shelling by the Israeli occupying forces left at least nine Palestinians dead and several wounded in different areas of the territory.

Four people were massacred and others were hit during attacks on a house belonging to the Mattar family in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

On the other hand, an Israeli attack on the Maghazi refugee camp killed two Palestinians and injured several others.

In addition, emergency teams recovered the bodies of two other victims, including a child, in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. In this place, a young man was also killed by Israeli snipers.

Meanwhile, thousands of people continued to flee the area as a result of evacuation orders issued by Israeli authorities on Thursday, prelude to further shelling.

In this regard, the United Nations (UN) reminded the parties to the conflict that they must always respect international law and protect the civilian population.

The spokesman of the UN Secretariat, Farhan Haq, confirmed at a press conference that more than 15,500 people live in these areas and that the movement has been observed mainly towards Al Mawasi on the south coast.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), some 200,000 people were evacuated from Khan Younis between 22 and 27 July during the last land incursion by the Israeli army, which left much of the town completely destroyed.
