The health portfolio reiterated that the work of rescue teams continues to be hampered, as they attempt to access bodies trapped under rubble and scattered along the roads.

According to medical sources, at least 7 civilians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli bombing targeting Deir al-Balah, the Bureij refugee camp, Khan Yunis and the Zeitoun district of Gaza City.

Among the fatalities were a father and son who were at home in the Bureij refugee camp.

In turn, 20 other civilian casualties were killed as a result of the continued Israeli shelling of scattered areas in the Gaza Strip.

Also, through the social network Facebook “The Palestinian Ministry of Health, in association with the Physical Rehabilitation Programme of the International Committee of the Red Cross, announced the detection and registration of tuberculosis cases, spinal cord injuries and brain injuries resulting in limb paralysis (permanent disability) of persons who have been injured due to war since October 2023”.

The Gaza Strip health authorities said they would help the patients as much as possible, avoiding attacks by the Israeli forces on health centers and medical personnel.

Gaza’s health system is not able to care for all the sick and wounded, as at least 34 hospitals and 68 health centres are out of service because of the Israeli aggression, and about 131 ambulances have been damaged by the bombing.
