The situation in Gaza has become critical, with an alarming 88 percent of schools destroyed in the last 15 months due to Israeli aggression, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA). This devastating reality has left approximately 660,000 children and adolescents without access to education since the beginning of the conflict.

Through its X social media account, UNRWA highlighted the magnitude of the education crisis facing the region, stating that the future of an entire generation is at stake.

Juliette Touma, UNRWA’s director of communications and media, emphasized the unwavering commitment of the agency’s employees, who work tirelessly 24 hours a day to provide essential humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees.

However, the challenge they face is monumental as educational infrastructure has been devastated and humanitarian needs continue to increase.
