Gaza: Increase to 39,897 killed by Israel

The health authority stated that there were 107 deaths in the last 48 hours.
The number of Palestinians killed by the Zionist offensive in the Gaza Strip, which began on 7 October, has risen to 39,897, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported on Monday, in its daily update on the situation following the escalation that started last October.

The number of injuries resulting from the constant attacks and bombings was 91,152. Civil Defence noted that the majority of those arriving at hospitals are children and women, which puts the percentage of child victims at 80 per cent.
According to the health authority, Israel committed three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours, killing at least 142 Palestinians and wounding 105 others.
The death toll is expected to be higher, with thousands of bodies still lying under the rubble as the Israeli occupation forces obstruct the movement of ambulances and civil defence teams.
On the other hand, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), 205 humanitarian aid workers on the ground have lost their lives since the rise of Israeli hostility.
More than 10 months after the start of the Tel Aviv escalation over occupied territory, vast swathes of Gaza remain in ruins amid a blockade of food, drinking water and medicines.
