The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli forces bombed a tent for displaced persons in Nuseirat on Sunday night, leaving a preliminary balance of two dead and two wounded.
Wafa reported that a second shelling had taken place hours earlier in the refugee camp in the center of the Palestinian territory, causing at least four deaths, including one minor, and wounding several people.
According to the latest assessment by the Gaza Strip Health Ministry, the IDF killed at least 51 Palestinians on Sunday and wounded more than 160 in 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 43,604 and the number of casualties to 102,929 in 13 months of war.
In addition, the Ministry estimates that some 10,000 people remain trapped among the rubble and on the roads without any intervention by Civil Defence rescue teams due to continued Israeli attacks.
The latest attacks occurred after at least 35 Palestinians, including 13 children, were killed in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip after Israeli fighters bombed a house where displaced persons were also sheltering.
Since 6 October, at least 1,800 people have been killed in the northern Palestinian territory, including Jabalia and its refugee camp, Beit Lahia and Bei Hanoun, according to the latest official figure released by the Palestinian authorities last Tuesday.
