Gaza Strip: Israel Maintains Bombardment and Siege

The Kamal Adwan hospital administration assured that there will be no evacuation of the health institution, and that they are focusing on ensuring fuel intake and strengthening the health system in the north.

On Friday, Israeli forces continued their shelling and siege of most areas of the Palestinian refugee camp of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

For the seventh consecutive day, the military prevented medicine and food from entering the camp, as part of the war of extermination and collective punishment against the residents for refusing to leave their homes.

According to the pan-Arab Al Mayadeen channel, the Israeli army demolished residential buildings in the west of the area and Red Crescent paramedics transferred several wounded to Kamal Adwan hospital after an airstrike on a house near the Al-Ihsan mosque in Jabalia.

The Kamal Adwan hospital administration assured that there will be no evacuation of the health institution, and that they are focusing on ensuring fuel intake and strengthening the health system in the north.

It reported that some patients, including children, were transferred to medical centers in Gaza City to relieve pressure on health facilities in the north.

In his X account, the head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, denounced Israel’s denial of two aid missions and called for the evacuation orders to be suspended and hospitals to be protected.

The authority urged the Tel Aviv government to facilitate humanitarian missions and work towards a ceasefire.

All people caught in this conflict need peace, the WHO head wrote.

In the centre of the Strip, three people, including a woman, were killed at dawn in an Israeli attack on a house in Deir al-Balah and on a group of civilians in the Maghazi refugee camp, WAFA reported.

At least four civilians were wounded in the shelling of a house in al-Nuseirat refugee camp and in parallel, the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza was hit.

The persistent Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since 8 October 2023 has so far killed more than 42,000 Palestinians and injured nearly 98,000, most of them children and women.
