On Wednesday, official sources stated that At least 40 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured after new Israeli shelling on the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.

Medical teams recovered 40 bodies in the Maan, Qizan al-Najjar and al-Manara neighborhoods, most of them children and women, the official Wafa news agency reported.
The news agency said several members of the family of journalist Ahmed al-Zard, who was wounded, were killed in the raids early this morning, including his brother, uncle and several cousins.
Last night, nine citizens were killed and 20 others injured after Israeli aircraft attacked a school housing refugees in the northern Gaza City.
The army justified the bombing by claiming that the building was allegedly used as a command center by the Islamic Resistance Movement.
In recent months, the country’s armed forces have launched missiles at numerous educational facilities housing internally displaced persons, prompting a wave of international condemnation and calls by the UN to halt such actions.
According to official figures, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against the coastal enclave in October 2023, more than 41,000 people have been killed and another 96,000 wounded, in addition to thousands of missing persons.
