Over 1,500 Palestinians killed in a week as Israel intensifies airstrikes across Gaza, including Rafah and Khan Yunis. Civilians, including children, among the victims amid a worsening humanitarian crisis.

Escalating Violence in Gaza

The situation in the Gaza Strip has drastically deteriorated over the past week, with more than 370 airstrikes carried out by the Israeli military. According to a statement issued Friday by the local Health Ministry, over 1,500 Palestinians have been killed during this period, while the number of injured is more than double the fatalities.

Israeli Forces Expand Operations in Rafah

The Israeli army has intensified operations in Rafah, where an estimated few hundred Gazans remain, unable to flee. Additionally, military forces announced plans to expand the security perimeter in the newly established “Morag Corridor,” which separates Rafah and Khan Yunis.

New Evacuation Orders and Civilian Casualties

This morning, new evacuation orders were issued for Gaza City, including the Shujaiya neighborhood, which has faced relentless bombardment since the beginning of the month. While Hamas leaders have been targeted, many civilians—including children—have also been killed.

Tragic Family Losses in Khan Yunis

The news agency Safa reported a devastating incident in which ten members of the same family were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Khan Yunis. Among the victims were several children:

  • Ibrahim Mazen Ibrahim Al-Farra (8)

  • Ibrahim Munir Ibrahim Al-Farra (7)

Two more people died in a similar attack in Al-Atatra, west of Beit Lahia. Meanwhile, the official Wafa agency reported that Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Salam and Al-Manara neighborhoods in Khan Yunis, while airstrikes continued in Rafah.

Unprecedented Humanitarian Crisis

The escalation of the conflict has triggered an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with thousands of civilians trapped in the crossfire. The international community is increasingly alarmed by the devastating toll on civilian lives.
