Government of Nicaragua Condemns Interference by Washington

Nicaragua condemns and rejects U.S. interference in sovereign countries.
The Nicaraguan government condemned on Monday the interference actions against national sovereignty carried out by the US government through the National Foundation for Democracy (NED).

“Nicaragua condemns and rejects the interference of the United States. against sovereign countries”, said the Chancellor of the Central American nation, Denis Moncada Colindres.
In this regard, the Chancellor informed his nation’s position on the interventionist actions of the White House through the said foundation, Known for its long-standing destabilizing pronouncement against sovereign states and those who oppose the imposition of dictates from the northern nation.
He also noted that the US has a long history of European Union. and those countries he called «his dependent partners» see their unipolar world power endangered by the push of emerging nations that extend and strengthen a multipolar world.
“Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, the Democratic Republic of Korea, Libya, Syria, Palestine, China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Bolivia and other sister countries, have fought and continue to resist and winning campaigns of destabilization of their territorial integration and coups d’état euphemistically called also ‘revolutions of color or Arab spring’, financed, armed and run by the US government through the NED and other American agencies that are determined to continue owning the world when they no longer do. Washington has ceased to be the capital of the world,” said Moncada Colindres.
He stated that since its inception, during the eighties of the last century, NED is encouraged by the United States government and aims to hinder the internal affairs of other nations and disable the legitimate governments of sovereign and independent nations.
The first acting president of that organization, Allen Weinstein, admitted: “much of what we do today was carried out in secret by the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) 25 years ago». The NED is known as the second CIA and has been an instrument of the United States to carry out terrorist, criminal and coup-plotters actions in countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
The main agenda of the NED is to destabilize governments to bring their countries into the domain of the subjugation of the American empire, using tens of millions of dollars from taxes paid by the American people, that it is unaware and ignores that these resources are used by the elite of the American government to attack other countries and governments, said Allen Weinstein.
Denis Moncada indicated that the NED, founded by the Ronald Reagan administration (1981-1989), collaborated rapidly in the secret war against Nicaragua in the eighties and nineties. He also supported and financed the media and counter-revolutionary opposition, and was instrumental in the US invasion of Panama in December 1989.
The hegemonic imperial power is losing ground and while it is rolling over the precipice, it is giving wounded blows against governments and worthy and sovereign peoples who fight, resist and win like Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and other fraternal peoples”, he said.
It further stated that “the Government of Nicaragua denounces and condemns the Government of the United States and the Western powers for violating international law and peaceful coexistence in order to impose neo-fascist and neocolonial governments, financing and organizing coups d’état through the NED with terrorist actions, destabilizing constitutional governments, direct and participatory popular democracies that advance against poverty, the common good and peace”.
