The head of foreign affairs of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Basem Naim, warned that Israel seeks to have the US fight on its side in a confrontation with Iran.

The international community is waiting for the Persian nation to respond to the Israeli actions related to the assassinations of the leader of the armed wing of Hamas, Mohamed Deif; the head of the political bureau of the same group, Ismail Haniya; the high commander of the Shiite movement Hizbullah Fuad Shukr; as well as the bombing of the Yemeni port of Al Hudayda.
Tel Aviv’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, “is trying to use this opportunity to achieve an ambitious goal he has been pursuing for twenty years: the US participation. . in a fight on their side against Iran,” said Naim.
He also noted that the head of government plans to further escalate the situation in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip, until the upcoming presidential elections in the US nation scheduled for 5 November.
While US and Israeli officials refused to comment on Haniya’s death, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps promised to carry out a retaliatory attack at the appropriate time and place.
Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, also said that Iran reserves the right to respond to Haniya’s death when it deems necessary.
