The Islamist group Hamas has confirmed that it will release the last six living hostages included in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip this Saturday, February 22. The news was announced by Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas’s negotiating delegation, in a speech broadcast by the organization.
As part of this agreement, the release of the six Israeli captives will take place in exchange for the release of 602 Palestinian prisoners. Additionally, the bodies of four Israeli citizens are expected to be handed over to the Israeli side on Thursday.
