The three hostages, identified as Ofer Calderon, Keith Siegel, and Yarden Bibas, will be freed in exchange for 90 Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has received the list of names and has notified the families of those being released.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Information Office, the Israeli government will release nine Palestinian detainees sentenced to life imprisonment and 81 others serving long sentences.
Previous Exchanges Under Ceasefire Deal
On Friday, Palestinian resistance forces handed over three Israeli hostages—Agam Berger (20), Arbel Yehoud (29), and Gadi Moshe Mozes (80)—along with five Thai workers to the International Red Cross.
In exchange, Israel freed 110 Palestinian prisoners, including 30 minors, from Ofer Prison.
Additionally, on January 25, Israel released 200 Palestinian detainees, and on January 20, three Israeli female prisoners were exchanged for 90 Palestinian prisoners.
Details of the Ceasefire Agreement
The ceasefire deal consists of three phases, each lasting 42 days.
In this first phase, the agreement includes the release of 33 Israeli hostages in exchange for approximately 2,000 Palestinian prisoners currently detained in Israeli jails.
