HAMAS has announced the killing of several Israeli hostages in Gaza during deliberate bombings by Israel, holding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responsible. Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Ezzeddin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), revealed on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army “recently bombed a location where some enemy prisoners were held and repeated the bombing to ensure their deaths.”

According to intelligence information, Obeida emphasized in a video message on his Telegram account that “the enemy deliberately bombed the site with the aim of killing the prisoners and their guards.” Following this recent Israeli bombing, Hamas fighters “attempted to rescue the enemy prisoners and managed to extract one of them, whose fate is unknown.”

Abu Obeida fully blamed “the war criminal (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu, his cabinet, and his army for this incident and for the lives of their prisoners.” In his message, he asserted that Netanyahu and Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi are seeking to eliminate their prisoners in Gaza by any means necessary.

Negotiations for a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel have failed due to Netanyahu’s excessive demands. The Prime Minister has obstructed all ceasefire proposals in Gaza that include the release of Israeli hostages by the Palestinian resistance movement. The Israeli regime claims that 101 prisoners are still in the Gaza Strip; however, it is estimated that between 50 and 60 Israeli hostages remain alive, while others are believed to have died. Hamas has stated that dozens of them have died in random Israeli incursions.

This situation highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis and escalating tensions in the region, as both sides continue to engage in violent confrontations with devastating consequences for civilians and hostages alike. The international community must urgently address these developments to prevent further loss of life and work towards a resolution that prioritizes human rights and dignity for all involved.
