The US Vice President and Democratic candidate for the White House, Kamala Harris, cancelled her speech at the end of the election on Tuesday after a clear-cut result against the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, and waiting for the count to continue.

Kamala Harris’ campaign co-host, Cedric Richmond, told attendees at what was scheduled to be the Democratic candidate’s party at Howard University that Harris will not speak tonight, but the campaign did not give in to the fight against Trump.
Richmond said the campaign will continue to fight “to make sure that every vote is counted. That every voice as spoken.” In addition he thanked those who attended the election night event, and thanked campaign staff and volunteers for working on behalf of Harris and for “believing in the promise of America.”
Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, won in North Carolina and Georgia and, while counting continues, leads the count in the other five key states, a situation that greatly complicates the choices of Democrat Kamala Harris.
After winning in North Carolina and Georgia, he would only need to win in Pennsylvania, although he would also need to have the results of Alaska and a delegate in Maine, traditionally republican states but still behind in counting.
Of the seven key states, the winner has been announced in North Carolina and Georgia for now, while Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada are still under scrutiny but the former president is still leading in all of them.
